Ein Gedi Nature Reserve

The hotel is situated near the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, which is an oasis containing a plethora of walking trails, archaeological sites, plants and unique animals.
Wadi David’s  – The famous wadi where young David hid from King Saul in biblical times. Today visitors can walk the trails  through the wadi , enjoy the springs and pools, as well as the animals around. For those with  walking difficulties, the first part of the stream is also handicap accessible. Visitors may also find short routes, appropriate for the entire family, which take two hours, or the longer trail that reaches the Ein Gedi Spring, which takes four hours. Visitors may explore the stream individually or may join guided tours provided by the hotel twice a week.

Wadi Arugot  – One of the largest river beds in the Judean Desert. It begins near Jerusalem and ends at the Dead Sea. Visitors can hike along the wadi, on a clear, comfortable path and enjoy the beauty of the greenery in the heart of the desert.

Ein Gedi Antiquities – Ein Gedi boasts remnants of the Jewish community and a synagogue dating back to the Talmudic times. In the center of the synagogue is a beautiful mosaic floor with a fascinating inscription on it, adorned by animals. A guided tour is provided by the hotel once a week.
The Nature Reserve is open in summer from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and in  winter from 8:00 a.m -4:00 p.m. There is an entry fee.
The site is open Sunday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m -3:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m -2:30 p.m.
